Newly Discovered

In 2013, an untitled piece painted in 1947, along with two other paintings, was discovered in a New York vault in Diane Bouchard’s estate.

Prior to its discovery, the only existing documentation of the painting was in Around and About Joan Miró (1956), a video project by Thomas Bouchard in which Miró can be seen working on the painting and later gifting the work to Bouchard’s daughter, Diane Bouchard.

The painting was sold at Sotheby’s in 2014 for about $1,300,000.
